Undergraduate student at the University of New Mexico, majoring in Geography and minoring in Earth and Planetary Science.

Research Interests

During my undergraduate studies, I have been using GIS to look into the distribution of hospitals and urgent care facilities in New Mexico, as well as deforestation in Brazil and Colombia, with an emphasis on agricultural and mining activities in the Amazon Rainforest.

I am passionate about preserving the environment and improving resource management, both in my home country and in other countries that are facing the effects of climate change.

Web Application

In addition to other visuals, this web application features an interactive choropleth map of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, which illustrates deforestation rates from 2000 to 2022.
